The tutorial: step 1

In this step we will look at the prerequisites of joining and get you started with your account.

What do you need?

You need to:

  • have a DNS zone that you would like to set up
  • be able to change the configuration of the master server
  • be able to change the contents of the zone
  • be able to get the registrar (or zone parent) to change the registered name servers for the zone

Note that a DNS zone here is usually a domain name, but can be any DNS zone.
Changing the registered name servers for a domain is usually done through the registrar's web interface.

Getting your account

To get your account, follow our signup process.
It will ask you a series of questions and you will be required to confirm your e-mail address.

Making your first payment

To make your first payment, go to the payment page.
For quick processing, we strongly recommend you pay through PayPal - which requires a PayPal account or a credit card. This should take you no more than a few minutes.
